Senecio Himalaya 6”

Senecio barbertonicus, commonly known as the Bush Senecio or Himalaya succulent, is an evergreen, succulent shrub. It has long, fleshy, lime-green leaves that curve upward in a chandelier-like arrangement.

Care Requirements

Light: This shrub thrives in full sun to bright indirect light. It needs at least 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight daily to maintain its compact shape.

Water: It is highly drought-tolerant. Water it deeply, then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again to prevent root rot.

Soil: It requires fast-draining cactus and succulent soil mixed with 50% to 70% mineral grit, such as perlite, pumice, or coarse sand.

Temperature: It is sensitive to hard frost and freezing temperatures. During cold winters, bring it indoors and protect it from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
